WATERS WILL TOUR IN 1999-2000, MANAGEMENT CONFIRMS
Roger Waters' manager, Mark Fenwick, has confirmed that Roger Waters will
be touring the east coast of the United States in July and August of 1999,
and that Waters plans to tour the west coast of the U.S. in the spring of
2000. Exact dates and venues have not been confirmed, but according to
Fenwick material from Waters' 1992 album "Amused to Death" will be featured
during the coming tour.
Although Waters' forthcoming opera "Ca Ira" will be released this year in
both English and French, Waters does not expect to begin work on a new rock
album until after his 1999-2000 tour and his work on "Ca Ira" are both
complete.
On 10 March, the Arkansas Democrat Gazette of Little Rock published a news
story about the city's new arena, the Riverfront Amphitheatre. Promoter
Butch Stone, who has been a personal friend of Waters since The Wall shows
in Los Angeles, has stated that Waters will be performing at the Riverfront
Ampitheatre in Little Rock sometime in October 1999. Meanwhile, on 8 May
the Riverfront Ampitheatre will host a showing of the film "The Wall" and a
Pink Floyd laser show.
Further news of the Waters 1999-2000 tour, including dates and venues, will
be published as it becomes available.
