March 27, 1999 UPCOMING RELEASES SCHEDULED According to the Pink Floyd Archives, several forthcoming releases with Pink Floyd connections have tentative dates set. "The Legend of the Pianist on the Ocean" is planned for U.S. release on 30 April. This Italian film, with English subtitles, includes a new song by Roger Waters called "Lost Boys Calling." The Waters song is included on the soundtrack as well as the film itself. It is unclear at this time whether 30 April is the scheduled U.S. release date of the film, of the soundtrack, or both. A new edition of the 1982 film "The Wall" is tentatively scheduled for release next autumn by Columbia Music Video. The film will be released in the new Digital Video Disk format as well as other formats. It is expected to be the best-quality release of "The Wall" film ever. According to www.dvdresource.com, other Pink Floyd releases on DVD are expected to follow. A five-disk music sampler is also expected for release in the U.K. "The Harvest Supper" will include at least one Pink Floyd track, probably a reissue of an old song. The release date for "The Harvest Supper" has not been announced.
