FLOYD U.S. REMASTERS SCHEDULED FOR MID-DECEMBER RELEASE
The United States release of six remastered and repackaged Pink
Floyd albums has been rescheduled for 16 December. The remasters
have faced a series of delays, so the 16 December date should not
necessarily be considered firm. No reason for the delays has been
stated by Columbia Records.
The new releases will include remasters of "Wish You Were Here"
(CK68522), "Animals" (CK68521), "The Wall" (CK68519), "The Final
Cut" (CK68517), "A Collection of Great Dance Songs" (CK68520), and
"A Momentary Lapse of Reason" (CK68518).
An advertisement for the six remasters has been published in several
manazines, incluing Tower Records' free publication, "Pulse." The ad
features a giant padded chair, over four times taller than a person,
standing in a pasture.

Several women stand in the field, along with
cows resembling the cow from the cover of "Atom Heart Mother."
Three anonymous men stand high up on the cushions of the chair.
From Tower Records' Pulse magazine
advertising six Pink Floyd remasters in the U.S.
In September 1997, Pulse, the in-house free magazine of Tower Records, published an
advertisement for six new Pink Floyd CD remasters. The page advertises the U.S. remasters of Wish You Were Here, Animals, The Wall, A Collection of Great Dance Songs, The Final Cut and A Momentary Lapse of Reason.
The ad depicts a giant cushioned chair whose fabric is printed with designs symbolic of Pink Floyd's past albums. The chair stands in a rolling, green field. To the left are two women in summery dresses and two cows which resemble Lulabelle on the cover of Atom Heart Mother.
To the right, another women is in the distance.
Three men (unidentified at this point) stand on the giant chair, about five meters from the ground.
It is unknown whether this is an image by Storm Thorgerson.
The text reads:
