Hi, My name is Todd Glenn
I live in Seattle
Nice Site.
I just wanted to drop a line to make sure you know about a David Gilmour re-release Back in the mid 70's Gilmour was involved with the band Unicorn. I became familiar with Unicorn while I was hunting for obscure Floyd related music in the local used record stores. I fell in love with their music.. It's almost country rock, but with the English accents it's pretty amazing. I recently discovered that a "Best of Unicorn' album is now on Amazon.com. Gilmour plays steel guitar on the album as well as producing it. I did some research and found that David Gilmour used his considerable influence to convince EMI Records to return to the band ownership of their music. Band member Ken Baker actually wrote "No way out of here" and Unicorn put it out on their "Too many crooks" album in 1976. Gilmour produced that album and played on a few tracks. Of course Gilmour made that song famous on his 1978 self titled solo album. If you haven't heard it you should give it a listen.......They're awesome musicians. I was hoping you might include some info on your site to let other Floyd nuts know it's available. Attached is a clip from the liner notes, there are several pics of Gilmour in the liner notes. I you want to know any more about Unicorn feel free to contact me.
Take care.
Todd
